Strike Out Kids Cancer

I started my own non-profit, Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation, to bring baseball and other sports to kids with cancer and other medical conditions. How do you get kids in hospitals or other residential care facilities to play baseball? Like Nike said, you just do it.

We bring the ‘highest tech’ to facilities that we can which usually means white duct tape to create base lines and flat bases so we do not create trip hazards. Sometimes we use whiffle balls depending on what room we have available and other times we use soft plush balls so when a patient rocks a home run we don’t break any windows.

Dodge as a six year old with team mate Ben who is ten years cancer free.

We have been lucky to play outside at a few places, but also can make games work at indoor atriums and even your conference room if you’re willing to let us play ball.

If you are wondering if we can do a game at your facility, the answer is an enthusiastic yes. Below is a news segment where we brought baseball to a bunch of great kids.

Like many players in Major League Baseball I plan to Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C).
