The Grind

October 4, 2020

We always talk about “The Grind” in baseball and taking fifty to a hundred hacks off the tee every day plus other practice swings so you can be solid in three or four game At Bats. I’m feeling it today – obviously.

Two nights ago I flew from Dallas/Fort Worth to Atlanta so I could get up early and drive to Erskine College’s baseball camp. Last night we drove back to Atlanta and got on a plane to Los Angeles for a Play To Win Showcase in a few hours. Tonight I am headed back to Dallas because I have a post Calculus math test to take at my school, the Townview School of Science and Engineering.

Tips For The Grind

“The Grind” is real, but it matters. I snagged Starbucks last night – no caffeine though – just some comfort food.

The Grind

Remember fellas, control what you can control.

YOU control your attitude.

YOU control you concentration.

YOU control you hustle.

I am trying to play big boy baseball so flying 7000 miles in three days may seem like a lot, but until I know where I am putting my head and hanging my glove the next four years, here we go. Bottom line is I am playing in October – every boy’s dream. Enjoy the moments along the journey because it won’t happen a second time and this one will rush by.
